Also used, sort of, by Mary Stewart in her Merlin series - the old man herding his cows mutters to Arthur about it being good to see the king here again at the fort that would be Camelot - but it had been generations since any kings were there at all! Yep, shiver down the back time...Freyalynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11911845535682123517noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4950999049789394042.post-31440368458877682842012-07-20T17:05:26.225-07:002012-07-20T17:05:26.225-07:00Eerily believable.Eerily believable.maryomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18265044617480788043noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4950999049789394042.post-18876147256608202102012-07-20T04:15:25.801-07:002012-07-20T04:15:25.801-07:00What a fantastic idea, Esmeralda! Like the gold cape found at Mold, where there was a tradition that the hill was haunted by a 'golden boy' - and the cape is too small for an adult man... I've got a post about it on here somewhere.Katherine Langrishhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12529700103932422873noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4950999049789394042.post-39549793384763498592012-07-20T03:22:40.250-07:002012-07-20T03:22:40.250-07:00Excellent. What *really* got me buzzing is that these stories often seem to pass/go towards prehistoric burial mounds, which makes me wonder if they are folk memories of burial processions, that have evolved into faeries over the centuries.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
