Mary is right, she is a Welsh Pandora - let's hear it for unruly women and those who wrote about them. An added note of interest, I found an article that suggests that it was a woman, Gwenllian, daughter of the King of Gwwynedd, who first wrote down the stories that make up the Mabinogion in 1128. Of course, the person who translated the Mabinogion into English was Lady Charlotte Guest, so women have been involved all along the line. Perhaps that is why so many remarkable women are there in the stories.Celia Reeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05059549379622664741noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4950999049789394042.post-84718642711916235262010-12-20T03:54:22.729-08:002010-12-20T03:54:22.729-08:00This comment has been removed by the author.Celia Reeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05059549379622664741noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4950999049789394042.post-47425578442295568482010-12-19T09:10:35.867-08:002010-12-19T09:10:35.867-08:00Celia comes up trumps as usual!
